Notice anything different?
Anything at all?
That's right! The Kingdom got a long-needed overhaul and personally I'm really happy with how it looks. I kept thinking about how badly I didn't like the old way it looked anymore, and wondering what I could do to fix it. Isn't that the way of it though? You can sit around and marvel over how unhappy you are with something, but when it comes to getting up and doing something about it sometimes you find yourself unable to move.
I had actually gotten to the point where I seriously considered abandoning this blog for a new one, but when I did the new blog didn't "feel" right. It didn't feel warm like this place, like I'm coming home to a place filled with sparkling lights hanging overhead and wonderful people are dancing upon the shiny reflecting floor. This new blog didn't even last a full day before I deleted it, revelling in the warm crackling fireplace with a good book that is "The Forgotten Kingdom".
This has been my home for a year, more if you count my pre-2012 writer's conference where they talked about the importance of consistent blogging. I was foolish to think I could simply walk away and pretend it didn't exist. It wouldn't have mattered what I did to the old one, what it allowed me to do, it would never feel like a place where I belonged. This is my happy little corner of the internet, my gem of a kingdom.
I haven't been very dutiful in my blogging lately. I hadn't realized it was so long ago that I wrote anything, and that's just terrible. Starting today I plan to be more active in it again. It's just that sometimes there's not much going on for me to comment on or to say, really. Regardless of that, I will still do my best. I hope everyone likes the new look and has fun with the new features on the side bar! I look forward to reuniting with you all again and reigniting the flame that is the Forgotten Kingdom.
